Yes, this blog has been rather quiet – and the travelling accordingly busy and breathtaking! Recently we had to change our travel plans: Taifuns were causing floodings in the Philippines, so we decided to visit Brunei and Sulawesi instead. A bit sad to miss out the Philippines, but Sulawasi is a fascinating island! But we just noticed that we only have a couple of days left: Time to head back to Borneo!

Our route in North India
We only had scattered internet access in Nepal – so here comes our delayed update with our route in North India.
The missing city “G” is Jaisalmer – a beautiful fort in the middle of the desert.

Complete temples carved out of a single rock!!!
Ellora is absolutely astonishing: These temples are carved out of the rock! It started off with caves, but the later works include complete multi-storey-temples made directly out of one single huge stone!!
Just imagine: The big temple measures 47×81 m2; they carved out 200.000 tonnes of stone!!!

Our way in southern India
By now we are already traveling in the north, so it’s time to give you a complete look at what we visited in the south:
There’s no way to summarize our impressions - it feels a looooong and fascinating time we have been traveling by now. We wanted to do some thinking & planning, spend some leisure time – but that will just have to wait a little bit: India keeps you busy at least 100%!
